Hey everyone. It's been a while since I've done so, but I think this blog is the perfect place to share various stories. The best stories are the ones where you can tell the storyteller is excited to share what happened. The excitement can make for a little haphazard storytelling, but it also adds a level of surprise since you don't know what will happen next.
Today, I was able to catch up with an RA that had studied in France last spring. The RA spent some of our time talking about classes and campus, but the most exciting parts were the sightseeing trips she took. The best story by far was going to Greece and it included the randomness of missed trains, interactions with locals, and working to overcome a language barrier. After our conversation, not only was it great to catch up on her semester abroad, but I got excited about trying to do international traveling again.
I've only visited two other countries, and one was due to a marching band trip when all you needed was a birth certificate (aka Canada). My family and I went out to Ireland for a week when I was in college, and it was blast. I did share some of my Ireland stories with the RA, who got a kick from the different perspective. I feel like I do have blog entries from back then, but if not, at least I have plenty of pictures. Granted, I can't remember the town names as quickly, but there are still a lot of good memories.
Alright, time to rest up again. All of the RAs & staff are getting together on Sunday afternoon to watch the Packers game. Outside of that, I don't have any big weekend plans (outside of a grad school assignment). Tomorrow will be World Card Making Day, so you should take some time to do that.
