Random Tuesday: More Questions

Hey everyone. Well, it's Random Tuesday, so let's hit up the ol' question list.


Do you believe God has a sense of humor? Why?
- Yes, in the ways that are uplifting because a lot of good things can come from humor.

What was the last vacation you went on?
- Well, there was this convention I just came back from...

If you where offered the job of President would you take it? Why?
- No. I would feel completely unqualified and I would not do well under the sudden pressure of that role.

What bill do you most dislike paying?
- My car payments because I have to send checks in the mail along with payment stubs rather than doing something online.

If you did not need the money what would you have studied in school?
- Theater with a music minor. No question.

What goals do you have for your health?
- Establish healthy habits now including better eating and more physical activity.

How did you make it through school?
- In one word, friends. There were several classes where my success was only possible by study groups with others. Plus, it was good to have people to share in the struggle and not feel completely on my own.

What is the best adaptation of a book to a movie?
- I can't think of a lot of examples where I've both read the book and seen the movie, but I'll say Fault in our Stars.

What food makes you think of Christmas?
- Peanut butter blossom cookies, and I know it's cliche, but my favorites are the ones my mother makes and other cookies just taste off. If the question was asking about a drink, I'd say wassail.

What food reminds you of your birthday?
- I don't remember having a specific food as a birthday treat. There were years when my family would let me pick where we would go to eat and I would usually pick a buffet place called Bonanza.

What movie can you watch over and over again?
- I'm torn between Scott Pilgrim, Wreck-It Ralph, or The Incredibles.

What is the best invention during your lifetime?
- The Internet because of how much it connects the world.

How far would you drive to save $20?
- I'll assume this is on a Saturday or something where I have more control over my free time. I'm not sure though - 15 to 20 minutes?

How old where you when you got your first computer?
- If we're talking about the first computer for the household, I was 10 or 11. If the emphasis that the computer was mine, I was 13 or so and my first operating system was Windows ME...

Can you do your job working from home?
- Well, my office is literally a floor below my bedroom, so I'm going to go with yes.

What technology scares you?
- Cybernetic implants - it just doesn't seem right.

What poem do you have committed to memory?
- Thanks to one of the years of MusiCamp, Frost's "The Path Not Taken" is pretty cemented in my brain.

What is the funniest gift you have given?
- I gave my best friend a kid's book on how to speak Wookie with a little soundboard on it.

What do you think is the most difficult sport?
- I'm not set in stone on my answer, but my initial thought is football. Among the big 4 sports (football, baseball, basketball, & hockey), football has the largest variety of playable conditions and each player has to know their part of many finely tuned plays.

What is your favorite song from a Disney Movie?
- Some contenders including "Beauty and the Beast", "Go the Distance", and... you know, I can't even pick a third one for a type of top three. Goodness this is hard.

If you had a year off with pay, what would you do?
- So am I getting paid and not worrying about bills or are those covered too? To follow the spirit of the question, I would travel around Europe, see Broadway shows, and visit friends from across the country.


Alright, another successful batch of questions. Now to rest up for tomorrow, which will be National Bring Your Teddy Bear to Work & School Day, Be Bald and Be Free Day, and National Take Your Parents to Lunch Day. Sadly, I won't be celebrating any of those tomorrow, but it is also National Fossil Day, so maybe I can bring dinosaurs into a conversation or something.
