Boot Camp - Week 1

Hey everyone. So, I started Boot Camp today. Wait, I should clarify. Not the official Boot Camp that goes straight into military service Boot Camp. No, I mean that there's an exercise program here that's called Boot Camp and that started today. I haven't seriously worked out in a few years, so it was quite the test. At the same time, the instructor was trying to help us push through rather than being too demanding. He would give little pointers and not make a fuss if someone needed to break during an exercise bit.

I do like that the group in this program is faculty & staff so I'm not surrounded by my students. Two other Hall Directors are also in the program, so we were able to help each other moving forward. (This was an intentional decision for the three of us to sign up for the same exercise program in order to have that support system.)

I'm not going to say that I was in immense pain, but I definitely was pushed harder than what I would have done just on my own. So that's a good thing. I'm not looking forward to tomorrow because I know my legs will be sorer than they were this evening. However, tomorrow will get here before I know it, so I need to get some rest. (Plus, I need to be up early in order to take my car into the body shop.)

So with that I'm off. Tomorrow will be Google.com Day & LGBT Center Awareness Day.

DFTBA
