Roaming Bugs -- Blech!

This was sort of true last week, but this week is definitely a time when a bunch of colds & bugs are roaming around campus. A number of my staff has been in different stages of being sick (let me tell you, having everyone together on Tuesday with the various coughing & sniffling -- probably not good for the collective health of everyone there), and one of my co-workers has been out sick for a couple days.

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to play Switzerland this time around, aka I'm going through a little something myself. I'm not too surprised since I probably go through this once every year-ish, and there are definitely times where I get sick following some important work/school thing. (So, there's a part of me that was confused that this didn't manifest immediately after coming back from OPE, because that's certainly what happened last year.)

I've never really written it down, but my body has a general schedule of symptoms that it goes through. For me, sneezing more often is a good sign because I'm moving past the initial stages. At this point, I'm in the "some tiredness & increased appetite, but mainly an annoying cough that has overstayed its welcome" stage. Assuming history repeats itself, I should be better again by the weekend, which will be nice. (Side note - definitely have one of those moments when it seems like it's both too soon and not soon enough for tomorrow to be Thursday. Anyone else feel like that?)

Fortunately this week is pretty stress-free, at least after some difficult meetings yesterday. I have some weekend plans in the works, but it will be nice to know that campus should be emptying out starting tomorrow. I'll be sticking around instead of going somewhere for Spring Break, but the change will still be a break. Anyway, that's my ramble for tonight.

Today is Dream 2015 Day. I'm assuming that goes off of dreaming big with what you can accomplish. Well, for my dreams, I'm going to get into grad school and grab it by the lips and YANK AS HARD AS I CAN! Whoops, went into Weird Al mode there.

(Not quite the same reference, but still worth a watch.)

It's also World Plumbing Day, so take some time to appreciate what you have.

DFTBA
