Little tokens from my hometown

Hey everyone. I promise I'm not going to talk about training everyday, but since it just started today, it only makes sense. Honestly, today went quite well, from the collection of games falling under the "Super Mario RAs" theme to a straight-talk session that covered pounds of nuts and bolts about the position. I also had time with my building staff at the end of the day, and I'm excited to work with them more.

Okay, change of topic so I'm not just talking about work. Call it random luck, but I got two little tokens from my hometown in the mail today. One was a water bottle from MusiCamp, a camp photo, and card as a thank you gift for my donation to the camp last month. I'm glad I can give back, although I was surprised the camp didn't do any sort of kickstarter like the previous year. The other item in the mail was a playbill from the theater I was a part of for ~10 years. My parents went to see the summer production of Spamalot, and I was told that it was a very entertaining rendition.

I wouldn't say today was incredibly intense or gut-wrenching, but there was a lot going on, ignoring the morning's heat wave followed by a massive system. Anyway, it was nice to get some little reminders of home just so I'm not just thinking about work all day.

Well, in a turn of events, I can feel my eyelids droop and it's barely nighttime. I think RA training will help me have an earlier sleep schedule, which I think would be a plus. Unfortunately, I won't know until it's all said and done. In the mean time though, it's time to rest up before tomorrow. Speaking of tomorrow, it will be Ba Poetry Day, Mail Order Catalog Day, and Serendipity Day.

DFTBA
