Hey everyone. Today kicked off the week as well as my next grad school class, which is Student Development Theory. I went through a lot of introductory material, and I'm only a little daunted by it. It actually feels like there are fewer projects compared to the trio of classes before, but on the other hand, I do have a ten-page paper due at the end of the semester.
I may have mentioned this before on the blog, but this class will apparently utilize Twitter for networking. So, I went ahead and created a professional Twitter account, since I wanted to have that distinction from my personal account .Of course, I've used Twitter maybe three weekends this past year (the FIRST Robotics Competition that my old team was at and then going to OPE). I need to tweet on a decently regular basis, so maybe this will lead into me using Twitter on a regular basis.
Okay, the whole Twitter usage thing is up in the air, but I think it is good that I created a professional account. I know that social media can be a great tool for networking, so I want to make sure I have the right online presence. Fortunately, I'm not in the job market, so I can still work on developing the online persona without the time crunch of job applications.
Alright, time to rest. Tomorrow will be the NOW Day, which is for the National Organization For Women, which seems like a good group to support.
