Totus Tuus felt more like a test of patience today. It was difficult to keep the kids from having lots of side conversations, so hopefully things will be more focused tomorrow. It's surprising to think that the week is more than half over. Plus, since Friday has a drastically different schedule, tomorrow is the last normal day.
Today was the first day that I didn't have to run from VBS to some other class or class-related activity, so I came back to the apartment to chill. I didn't get as much done as what I probably should have, so I know that could come back to bite me tomorrow/Friday.
After I had posted yesterday's entry, I thought of something for the Tuesday variety. I checked it out and I think I could make it work. So, here's Tuesday variety (even if it is a day delayed). It's another Google auto-fill, but this time I used the phrase "my first *letter*" There were some letters that I had to a little extra searching/wiggle room because the most prominent answers didn't apply (for example, some of the suggestions with "my first p"). So...
My First...
Apartment: You may guess that that would be right now (or at least, in this building). However, I did live in an apartment in my hometown for part of first grade.
Bank Card: It was (and still is) a credit card linked to my mom's work account, in case I needed it for emergencies in college.
Car: My mom's Ford Taurus that I learned how to drive in (and that was totaled by a big hailstorm a couple months after I got it).
Dog: Her name was Bunny and she was a Pomeranian/Rat Terrier mix. I don't remember much about her, but she was very pretty (there are pictures and home videos with her in it).
Eyeglasses: Pretty large Harley Davidson frames.
Friend: My first guess is to say Daniel, who was one of my best friends in elementary school, partially due to our shared liking of Legos.
Garden: I mean, I did help out with my parents' vegetable garden in the back yard. In terms of my own garden, the closest thing I have is Hazel.
Home Away From Home: The Paul Bunyan Playhouse, where I spent countless hours with the summer stock theater.
Interview: That was when I interviewed to be a CA at UMN. Before that, I had jobs that didn't have a formal interview as part of the hiring process.
Job: Due to Minnesota state law, I was allowed to sell fireworks as my first job, but I wasn't legally old enough to buy them.
Kiss: Sam R in 6th grade. My dad chaperoned the "date" around town.
Library: Unfortunately, I don't remember the name, but it was right by my church and has since been turned into a realtor office. Since middle school (I think), I've always lived within a block of a library.
Movie (that I owned on DVD): The Matrix and Monty Python and the Holy Grail - both Christmas presents one year
Name: Uh... Matt
Office: I still haven't had an office that was specifically mine, but the closest thing is the shared cubicle I have here at the Missouri Academy.
Play: "A Christmas Carol", 1997.
Quantum Translocator: Uh... what?
Rifle: A .22 rifle that I would use for target shooting.
Skiing Experience: So, confession moment. I first learned to ski last year here in Missouri. (Those of you that remember my list of animals I've hit while driving will be familiar.)
Tweet: "Hi Twitter. Call me crazy, but I decided to try you out.
Let's see how this goes..." Poetry in motion.
Useless Invention: Well, in terms of inventions, I remember creating a device called the Bowling Buddy in elementary school. The device was meant to help bowlers with keeping score during a game and keeping everything organized. Due to bowling alleys using electronic scoreboards, that invention seems pretty useless these days.
Visit: I figure it was visiting someone in my family. Either Osage, the Twin Cities metro, Pine River, etc.
Wedding: I don't remember exactly but I'm going to put money on it being a cousin on my dad's side.
Xbox 360: Well, I've only had one (and yes, the auto-fill did specify a 360) which I purchased from a camp friend who goes to school in my hometown.
Years: You mean like the students here? Well, my first first-years were the Pioneers and they were quite the bunch. *insert long yarn*
Zoo: Pretty sure this was Paul Bunyan Land, which didn't seem like a zoo, but I'm sure could be categorized as one.
Well, I need to get some sleep. DFTBA.
