There are nights when I open up a new entry for the blog and then find myself pacing around the living room or cleaning in the kitchen. As I've said (maybe only alluded to?) before, I typically write these entries late and there are nights, like tonight, when I don't want to brainstorm for too long because I also enjoy sleep.
I am glad that this blog is really my platform to do with what I will. As you've seen already, some entries are general recaps of the day, some are stories from my past, and some are my thoughts on a random topic. Beyond that, I have Random Tuesdays, which are a mixture of sharing things about me and doing a writing exercise.
Doing a daily blog entry has that challenge of thinking of something new to say each day. There are some days where it's easy to talk about what happened that day (like the first time I talked about my gaming outlet here or when we volunteered at St. Vincent de Paul), but there are some days that are either too boring or too sensitive to really talk about. At the same time though, I think keeping up this blog will help my develop my writing skills. Plus, studies show that it takes 31 days or so to make something a habit and I'm edging up to that time, so it's all about pushing forward these last few days.
So yeah, that's what I got for now. The next few days may have some shorter entries, but they will exist in some length. I promise.
Today is Thank a Plugin Developer Day. I don't know what developer team was specifically behind this, but I would like to thank the people who made the Silverlight plugin, aka what makes Netflix work. You rock, mysterious Silverlight team!
