Quick Update on Life

Well, since I have an early morning tomorrow, let's just make this a quick update about life. (This is also my way of confessing that I didn't really do much.) In regards to work, everyone has the realization that the end of the year will happen before we realize. So, we're starting to prepare for things like hall closing and summer staff selection. Since we still have a few weeks before that stuff actually happens, I'll just be trying to push things along since I think everyone is getting ready for summer.

The weather seems to be on our side again because it was gorgeous today. Hopefully it stays like this now because then the heating system in the building can get turned off and people can spend more time out and about.

As I've said before, I'm glad to make connections with gaming people in Green Bay. Finding the work/life balance in this position is so critical, and having people who aren't associated with the college that I can hang out with is really helpful. I'm thinking of it again because I was asked about how I've been adjusting to Green Bay by a candidate and it led to a nice reflection.

Personally, I'm trying to put new effort into bettering my time management when I'm left to my own devices. Right now isn't the best example, although I am writing this now compared to an hour or two later into the night. At least I'm yawning now and it's not even 1? Let's go with that.

I have some fun weekends in the near future, so I'm looking forward to those. Similar to three paragraphs above, hopefully the weather can cooperate with my/other people's travel plans.

Unfortunately, I didn't spend much time reading today, which is kind of a bummer. It's still worthwhile to make a shoutout to a cool holiday like that though. Tomorrow will be Scrabble Day and Michelle's favorite holiday, Thomas Jefferson Day. Then again, Thomas Jefferson Day should probably be in everyone's top 10 holidays at least. He's quite the fella.

DFTBA
