Technically, Halloween is tomorrow, but for one, it's still too nice for a blizzard down here, we have a chemistry midterm tomorrow, and Monday is my busiest day, so I was celebrating Halloween early. Anyway, speaking of the chem midterm, I do have homework, so I will try to keep this short.
My week was pretty good. Chem lab was pretty fun on Tuesday, since we spend almost the entire time playing with molecule sets... without goggles! (pause) You could tell that the molecule sets were old though so it took a little fun out of it. We had a calc midterm on Thursday and a physics one on Friday... the calc one was okay (although I did space out on two parts of different questions) and I feel better because of this physics test than either of my other physics "midterms". Hmm... other than that, classes were pretty good, although this week is going to be crunch time for physics lab. Oh, and the portfolio was due in English last week... not my best work, but it is only a pass/fail class.
Like I said before, I celebrated Halloween early this weekend, meaning this weekend. This basically consisted of me dressing up as the Phantom of the Opera (tux, cape, hat, and self-cut mask) and going to Coffman for caramel apples and a costume contest (I should have totally pulled a verse from "Music of the Night"), and then wandering over to the Campus Crusade House only to find that the party there was just finishing.
Hmm... let's see... what else is new. Oh, one piece of good news--I got a letter from poetry.com saying that the piece of poetry I randomly entered once was selected as a semi-finalist and is entered in the International Open Poetry Contest! What's also awesome about it is that it (along with all the other semi-finalist poems) is going to be published! Now, if people remember waaayy back to August during Into the Woods when I was making my 144, remember that "be published" was on my list? Yay! I don't even have the list done and I'm getting stuff done on it! Sweet!
Anything else? Well, I spent time this weekend with my family (and now I have a bunch of stuff... and my bike!), slept in... and ... had fun!! Yay! Okay, obviously I don't have much else to say, so I'm going to end it now. Hope everyone is having fun and beating school into submission instead of the other way around. Talk to everyone later (and I will get back to the people that have been emailing me), take care, and God bless.
