As I've had more time here at the Academy, I realize the importance of the separation between my work life and my personal life. My first year, I signed a little "contract" with myself as a way to rid me of feeling guilty for not responding to emails/not answering my door/etc on my day off. Even then, it's eliminating the mindset of doing work stuff everyday. I can't say that I've had 100% success, and today was one of those days when I had to bend the rules some. Fortunately, it wasn't anything too extreme (just some Family Weekend stuff and an RHA meeting, really). Other than that, my day was partly personally productive (what a tongue twister) and partly relaxation again.
I did have an idea for a longer entry, but it's late so I should just call it a night. The holiday of today... hmm... I guess we'll go with National Home Furnishings Month. I do want to get back into the habit of prepping for holidays before they happen. Anyway, bed is calling. Have to go answer. DFTBA.
