Last Full Day in Middlebrook Hall

Hello all. Yet again, it has been way too long since I made my last entry. There have been a lot of "last's" recently. It is to be expected, I guess... since I'm graduating and all. It's just surprisingly how quickly all of them came. Unfortunately, there's not a big stretch of time I'll have today to blog and I really wanted to add another entry before I move home... so this blog will be my thoughts and outlooks made throughout the day. Before I say anything else, I will apologize for the length of this blog.

I should keep this short right now because I have my last final (whoo!) at 10:30 and I still need to look over a lot of information. I also should get breakfast. Anyway, I'll stop rambling for the moment and get on one of those two things.

Well, that sucked. I ended up turning my last final in early because I couldn't see myself getting anywhere farther in the last 20 minutes. Yeah, 20 minutes. Math tests just freak me out, and when we have to go all alone in the test (no book, notes, or calculator), the fun begins. There was a problem or two that was basically from an old homework/test with different constants, but I couldn't remember step 2 for either of them. (*I'm not one to swear, but insert expletives here*)

Anyway, it's out of my hands now so hopefully I'm not kept in grade limbo for ages. I hate this waiting period. I'd stay and blog more, but I need to eat. Since it's Saturday, UDS didn't open for breakfast until 10:30. I'll be back.

3:00pm

Quick break in between checking residents out. I'm glad that a lot of residents overestimated their time to pack and have been bumping their time ahead as much as an hour! It's sad to see them all go, but I hope to visit during winter break and such.

Another break when some residents are finishing up vacuuming. It's my last duty shift tonight here as a CA, with my best friend as my secondary... we will be doing at least one set of rounds in our cap and gowns from commencement... it's going to be awesome.

As awesome as being the last CA on duty is, I had forgotten how much extra work that would entitle. Since the desk closed at 8pm, I've been going to the desk a lot to check out residents and return vacuums and the like. Rounds with Kyle have been pretty awesome though. 4:30s were in cap, gown, and as much HRL flair as we could muster. During 7s, we found ooze reminiscent of Ghostbusters 2 in one of the facility rooms. 9s ended up being a sprint around the building because a lot of things were pushing us behind schedule. 11s were simply classic since it was our last set of rounds ever... *sniff*

1:41am, Sunday

It would have been nice to do so late-night video games with Kyle since it's our last night in Middlebrook... but unfortunately, sleep is winning out. Hopefully I can really get packing tomorrow morning before my mom comes to pick stuff up. Here, I was hoping to take today's blog to talk about the past few weeks... but storytime will be another time. For now, it's off to bed.
