Hello everyone,
It certainly seems like a really long time since I updated, but it's only been two weeks. What a long two weeks it has been. Finals are over, Christmas has come and gone, and I'm so glad to be back in Bemidji. I won't go into the details behind my Christmas year, except to say that last night, my entire family (and yes, I mean my sister, me, and both of my parents) went to the movies. Now, for any other family, this probably doesn't sound like anything memorable, but according to my sister, the last time the four of us went to a movie together was Home Alone. I looked it up online... yeah, it's been 15 years since Home Alone was in theaters. I'll just stop there.
I didn't really ask much for Christmas, and I really didn't get much. Now, I'm not blaming my mom for not running out and buying things, and I'm not blaming my dad for getting a Christmas tree on Christmas Eve (I was expecting the Christmas bush), and I'm not blaming my mother's family for putting more focus on Christina and Anastasia (my cousins adopted from Russia) because they are younger, and I'm not blaming my college friends because we're all poor and I was the only one who got presents for more than three or four people, and I'm not blaming my high school friends. I'm just saying that this Christmas has been different than the others. It feels like more than just a year since the last Christmas. (okay, small rant) I mean, I got an umbrella from one of my relatives. I have never heard of anyone getting anyone else an umbrella for a Christmas gift. (rant done) On the other hand, I didn't ask for much, and the two or three things I asked for, I got. Besides, I know how lucky I am, and I do really have a lot, in more than one sense.
Well, I didn't want this blog to be too long, so I'll end it here. Like I said before, I'm really glad to be home, and if Bji people want to hang out, call/email/facebook me or just stop by. I hope everyone is doing well and that they had a happy Christmas and hopefully a very happy New Year. Take care everyone; God bless.
