Whatever happened to the Apple Jacks' commercials?

you know, the... "well why do you like them?" "we just do!"

This is a random thought that popped into my head yesterday at work. I thought I would make an entry about a plain week and an equally bland weekend. Well, I certainly didn't know what was in store! :-D *pause* Well, okay, it wasn't like Middlebrook exploded (although we did have a fire drill last Monday during Bible study) but it was a fun weekend.

Like I said before, the week was pretty simplistic, including a bio lecture midterm on Tuesday.

*pause* (15-20 minutes have passed while various things happen)

Okay, I'm going to try to be short, because I really should study for the three midterms that I have on Tuesday. Friday night, I watched the Godfather for the first time. Saturday, Mike, Liz, Denise and I went on an adventure to the Witch's Hat Water Tower and then to Village Wok. (Liz has very interesting pics from the journey.) After that, Tess and I saw La Boehme, which, as we found out while reading the synopsis of the play, is the story of Rent. After that, I met up again with Mike and Liz, and also Dan and Jesse (one of Mike's h.s. friends) and we went to the Kid Games (basically a whole bunch of elementary school games) that were held at the rec center. Sure, the food was cold, and the games were okay (personally, I was worried that if I tried dodgeball, I would get hit in the head/glasses... as usual)... but I won an iPod shuffler! I was really surprised when I actually won, because I thought that if I was going to win anything at all, it would be like some food certificate for a free burrito. Okay, I'll admit, when I first got the shuffler and brought it back to the table, my first thought was that it was an accessory for an iPod and not an iPod in and of itself. Today was a block schedule of work, going to the rec for the first time in a long time, and choir practice. Ah yes... work... simply put, work stunk this weekend and that's all I'm saying.

I should go. Three midterms aren't going to study for themselves.
